Today we saw the installation of the Archimedean screw for the river bain hydro scheme her in upper wensleydale. It was quite an event lifting the 8.6 ton steel screw into position at the end of the leet.
Just a month or so now and we should be starting to generate power and cut carbon dioxide emissions. At lease we’re trying to do our bit.
As the church wew are at the heart of trying to care for creation, for the natural world and getting involved in community action, could this even be part of the big society?, as we are hoping to use any surplusses from the power generation to assist other local environmental schemes.
